Every morning I look forward to reading all the knitting blogs. Rarely a dull day. If it is not a great new design or tip there are always interesting discussions/commentaries. Who would ever think that knitting, politics, power struggles, etc would all go together. First there was the drama about Stitch n Bitch. I never really understood who "owned" the name nor did I care. I just like the phrase! Next popped up the know it all knitters (KIAKS) to borrow a phrase from the ever entertaining Wendy at knit and tonic. Leaving judgemental, mean spirited comments on knitting blogs, for what? Why is it necessary to prove one knows more about knitting than someone else? Most of us knit for the pure joy, the creative release, and the FO's. It really doesn't matter if someone can do it better - we are the only ones who really need to love our own projects. Most recently there is the Suss Designs on knitty. Wow! that one picture has created alot of disturbance. (But isn't that probably just what was hoped for.) So . . .I will continue to knit whatever I want and browse the blogs to keep up with Knitting Soap Operas. (and hope just one person reads my blog)
